Duplicate British Death Certificates are often essential documents when laying claim to the estate of a deceased person, known as the Probate process.
Whether you need to confirm the passing of a relative/friend or are looking for additional genealogy research material, these documents are supplied directly from the UK government.
Death certificates can be essential records for proving entitlement to estate claims and probate enquiries. They are also highly useful when carrying out genealogical research and you are looking for the next family history line of enquiry (named informants are often close family members).
We can additionally supply a certificate for any UK death registered overseas at a Consulate, High Commission, or with the Armed Forces.
For overseas clients needing to validate the authenticity of the death certificate as having been produced in the UK, we also offer a legalisation service whereby the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office will attach a dated Apostille to the reverse of the certificate. Clients should check with the relevant authority as to whether this is necessary.
