Copy Marriage Certificate (England & Wales)

From here you can safely order an official England or Wales Marriage Certificate. We can supply any certificate generated between 1837 and 2005. For marriages after this period, you should consult directly with the church/register office as the registers will not have been passed to the central archives.

We offer two speeds of certificate production:

• Standard (10 working days)
• Priority (4 working days)
  

Please note: The stated duration is quoted as typical lead times, and is in addition to the delivery time taken (which depends on the delivery service chosen).

Scan and Send Option
As an optional service, you can also have your order professionally scanned and emailed (Scan and Send) if you need the information as soon as we have it. This service is available for only an additional £3.00 per certificate.

Legalisation Option
For our overseas clients, please be aware that some overseas authorities will require to you to have your document 'Legalised' to prove authenticity. This is known as an Apostille and is carried out by the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office. This often affects passport applications, social security applications and property purchases so you are advised to check before you order. We are happy to provide the Apostille service to you order, however please note that this adds approximately 2 weeks to the order process owing to the sheer volume of requests received by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office every week. The Apostille service charges add £45.00 per certificate.
