We supply genuine replacement Decree Absolutes for UK marriage dissolutions. Also known as Divorce Records, a Decree Absolute is the final step in formalising the end of a marriage. These documents are issued by the registration Court and include the stamp of that court.
Records for copy decrees are available from 1858 for divorces registered in England or Wales, 1984 for those registered in Scotland, and since 1996 in Northern Ireland.
Where these documents are required for official purposes overseas we can also provide an Apostille seal to be added by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London (this is sometimes referred to as 'Legalisation'). You should check whether this is required by the overseas authority that requires the document.
